Katie is getting ready for the state fair English show here in Indiana on August 13th.  She is dedicated to practicing every day.  Poor Galimir is taking it all in stride, but im sure she wishes she were back inthe broodmare band! Raising those babies has to be so much easier than teaching a 11 year old girl to ride!!

Samson and the piglets

Comments Off

Our exchange student, Samson had a great time tonight learning to pig-wrangle.  We went and picked up 7  piglets (gilts and barrows) to raise up for the freezer tonight.  Here’s some pictures of him having a blast trying to catch them after we got them back to the barn.  Needless to say, the piglets were NOT impressed ;-) .  These little guys are one month old hamp/berk crosses.  4-H pig rejects from a local farmer’s 4-H pig litter.
