Last Sunday was a beautiful day. We packed up Finey and Galimir and went off to the trails with a couple of girl friends of mine. As is our tradition with the kids, we rode over to the Story Inn for brunch. The kids had pancakes and sausage, while I had the “Omelet DeJour” — a big 3 egged omelet with scallops, shrimp, and langastino lobster tossed in a creamy dill sauce. MMMMM yummy! Of course, there had to be a Mimosa and coffee on the side.

After brunch, we packed back up and headed back toward the Horseman’s Camp. The kids didn’t manage to eat all of the sausage that they had ordered, so we wrapped it up and stuck it into the saddle bags. Sure enough, they got hungry on the ride back to camp and stopped for a snack…

After the snack, Katie wanted to go on a ‘number trail’. She chose trail 7 because it goes down by a creek and is very pretty. There are a couple of tough climbs in that area–especially since it was muddy that day. However, Galimir has 4-hoof drive and is as surefooted as a mountain goat. Our day came to an uneventful end back at the camp where we brushed, fed, blanketed and loaded up the horses before heading home.
